Today as we walked through the woods towards Fort Duquesne we were ambushed by the French and be specific. It was a bloody and a hard fight battle where we ended up being forced to retreat. The enemy was sneaky and hard to hit because they were repeatedly jumping out of nowhere and ducking behind trees to take our men down. We have some five hundred casualties as opposed to the enemy who suffered only about fifty according to our scouts. Even General Braddock was wounded in battle.Our numbers are down enough that they have actually decided to allow me to carry firearms.
